We already HAVE an anarchist society - - -

"We already have an anarchist society; it's just concealed under a statist oligarchy and government. Please do not conflate society with the state, the oligarchy, and/or government." --Jim Carigan, Friday, March 20, 2014

Do YOU have it wrong?

"It's not Democrats vs. Republicans you nits, it's the Democrats and the Republicans vs. you." --L. Reichard White, October 22, 2013, 13:39:46

Who dunnit?

Remember folks, when the stuff hits the fan, it wasn't your friends, neighbors, family or other citizens that caused the problems, it was The Government. --L. Reichard White, Monday, September 30, 2013 5:15 AM

What is "National Security?"

"A specious concept that allows a government to introduce and enforce a continuous series of ever increasingly totalitarian diktats in order to erode personal freedoms under the guise of an 'outside' threat." --Darren 'BigD' Groves

Austerity - - -

"Austerity" = "You get to spend your money instead of the government spending it for you." --L. Reichard White, Sunday, August 04, 2013 8:27 PM

Democracy & ice cream

"Democracy" is not only two wolves and a sheep voting on lunch, it's 310 million Americans going to Baskin & Robbins and deciding on one flavor. --L. Reichard White, July 20, 2013, 13:22:32

"Unfettered Capitalism" - - -

"Unfettered Capitalism" = protected from competition -- usually by "regulation" -- (and/or subsidy) by a government. Otherwise "capitalists" are seriously fettered by "we the customers." Which is why the capitalists engineer protection -- usually by regulation -- (and/or subsidies) from a government.  --L. Reichard White, Saturday, July 20, 2013 10:54 AM
P.S. This is the ultimate result of what, when applied to bank bailouts, is called "moral hazard" as businesses learn how to get governments to underwrite their operations -- using taxpayers' money.

Where Chaos Comes From

Chaos doesn't come from folks with many different ideas, it comes when someone tries to impose one of those ideas on everyone.  --L. Reichard White, Friday, July 05, 2013 11:31 AM

Seriously twisted priorities - - -

When someone points out a robber, murderer or Peeping Tom, do you go after the robber, murderer or Peeping Tom -- or do you go after the person who points them out?

So why is Uncle Sam going after Mr. Snowden instead of going after the FBI, CIA and NSA?

A little help please - - -

I heard yesterday that "There are some questions one just doesn't ask."  What are they so I can ask them?  --L. Reichard White, Sunday, June 16, 2013 2:48 PM

What do you have to hide?

The correct answer when asked "What do you have to hide?" is, "I don't know, but with all the laws on the books, I'm sure there must be quite a few things." --L. Reichard White, June 15, 2013, 08:26:20

Time for Plan B?

The Constitution & Bill of Rights applies only to and limits government, those who are elected and swear an oath to uphold them, and those they hire to help them to do that job.  Unfortunately, we-the-people trusted those documents, the oaths, and the honesty of politicians to abide by those limits.  Clearly, that didn't work. -L. Responsibility or blame?

We cannot begin to sort ourselves out until we understand that there is such a thing as responsibility, that it has nothing to do with blame, that blame is a fixed, socially-agreed-upon thing, while responsibility is self-defined, something we choose to take upon ourselves independent of social agreements, and is only as great as we are great. -- Victims and Blame by Dean Blehert

Do you support slave owners?

"To presume to have the authority to remove another's inherent right to self-determination is the assumption of the slave owner." --Dr. Amanda Kim Case, June 3, 2013

Why not UNBANK?

Having money in a bank is like having a joint account with the government. --Dr. Amanda Kim Case, Sunday, May 26, 2013 10:19 AM
