Just because it's stupid doesn't mean they won't do it. --L. Reichard White, Saturday, January 29, 2011 7:06 AM
"Just because someone's offended doesn't mean they're right." ~ Ricky Gervais (and thanks to Brad Spangler)
Unless I expressly and unequivocally agree to it -- in writing -- I refuse to be part of anyone elses' "aspirations," especially if that "anyone else" is a politician. I unyieldingly reserve the right to NOT be included. --L. Reichard White, Sunday, January 16, 2011 11:09 AM
Stop trying to get a job! Find a way to make money instead. --L. Reichard White, Monday, January 10, 2011 8:56 AM
Even CNBC is now talking about The Constitution. BUT, the first topic that comes up is:
"The problem is to decide which parts of The Constitution are relevant and which ones are irrelevant today." --L. Reichard White, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 8:48 AM
Don't find a job! Find a way to make money instead. --L. Reichard White, Monday, January 10, 2011 11:55 AM
There's an important difference between "learning" and "teaching" - - - learning happens when the learner is ready, "teaching" when the "teacher" is ready. It's more important by far that the learner is ready. --L. Reichard White, Saturday, January 08, 2011 8:59 AM
Modern "schools" tell you what you have to learn, when you have to learn it, how to learn it, and don't admit you've learned it till you pass their tests and they tell you you've learned it. In other words, the traditions of modern schooling have taken complete control of what you learn away from you and put it in other hands. This is a tremendous coup. And loss. AND mistake. --L. Reichard White, The HI-JACKING of Civilization, Chapter 24, Going Native, October 22, 2007
I LEARNED PHYSICS WHEN I TAUGHT IT, NOT WHEN I "LEARNED" IT, DESPITE ALL THE TESTS I PASSED. DITTO MY "EDUCATION" CLASSES, TRYING TO TEACH ME HOW TO TEACH.
Taxes: The question isn't "rich" or "poor" -- it's, "Who gets the money?" The answer is "government" -- which, in the case of the U.S. government, spends 43% of it on wars, past and present. --L. Reichard White, Wednesday, December 08, 2010 10:24 AM
Who fears the truth?
Based on reactions to Wikileaks, apparently governments. Especially the U.S. Government. --L. Reichard White, Wednesday, December 08, 2010 8:59 AM
"You're supposed to find jobs that need doing, not create them." --my 90 year-old next door neighbor, Jack, Feb. 2009
Descriptions of foreign leaders via the latest Wikileak's release of U.S. documents describes Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai as "paranoid." Let's see, a U.S. puppet "leading" a tribal culture with U.S. guards for protection. If he's NOT paranoid, he's crazy. --L. Reichard White, Monday, November 29, 2010 12:03 AM
"Ignorant" is better than "stupid" - - - there's no cure for "stupid." --L. Reichard White, Sunday, November 28, 2010 11:28 PM
Does it bother you at all as a "taxpayer," that you (and your kids grand kids and the yet unborn) were involuntary "investors" in GM, AIG, Goldman Sachs, CITI, J.P. Morgan, Fanny & Freddy, etc? And that Uncle Scam now considers investing your money in failing businesses as Standard Operating Procedure? --L. Reichard White, Sunday, November 21, 2010 10:58 AM
About ANY taxes - - - they go to the government, not to the poor. --L. Reichard White, Friday, November 19, 2010 11:44 AM
"Difference" is just the evidence of a "change" we didn't notice while it was happening." --L. Reichard White, "The HI-JACKING of Civilization," Chapter 19, Information, Knowledge and Prediction R Us
"Our former President and our current President ought to have a dunce-off. There is no telling which would win." --L. Neil Smith, Thursday, November 11, 2010 3:25 PM
There's always a discount on an I.O.U. The amount depends on its
perceived likely-hood of being paid. The dollar is, in essence, such an
I.O.U. The perception of repayment is dropping and you can follow it
by watching the value of dollars on the market. --L. Reichard White, Tuesday, November 09, 2010 11:04 AM
As long as you can play, you gotta keep dancing. --CNBC, Tuesday, November 09, 2010 8:05 AM
