Judge Not

When someone judges you, that judgment is primarily their possession and their problem, not yours. --L. Reichard White, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 6:13 AM

Orwellistan? Are we there yet mommy??

Well, are we??

Unfortunately the stuff below only starts with impeccable Democracy Now and from three nearly impeccable guests:
1. William Binney, an NSA whistle blower who worked as a manager there for more than 30 years,
2. Jacob Appelbaum, a TOR and privacy software designer and activist
3. Laura Poitras, an Oscar-nominated anti-war filmmaker intimidated by Uncle ~40 times because she is.

Don't even have an appropriate closing.  Maybe - - -

"Of course you're free. Now shut-up if you want to stay that way."

P.S. Great weather!  How about those Cubbies!  I think I'll plant zucchinis again this year.  Do you guys like pizza as well as I do?

Anger: Pros & cons

When is mass murder better?

Why is it that we think it's perfectly normal (preferable even) for Presidential candidates to ask for guidance from god, but immediately dismiss it when a serial killer (or terrorist) claims god told him to do it. Why is it a sign of sanity when a president gets god's okay before killing thousands in a war, but a sign of insanity when an ordinary person does it before killing her children? --Dave Krueger, Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Socialism my way

OK, I'll go along with "From each according to his ability to each according to his need" -- as long as I get to decide who needs, what they need, and how much of what I produce with my ability I give them. --L. Reichard White, April 6, 2012

"Right" or privilege?

You own a "right."  If it's a privilege, someone else loaned it to you.  Temporarily. --L. Reichard White, December 16, 2011, 12:58:44

THE Common Enemy?

As Americans we must always remember that we all have a   common enemy, an enemy that is dangerous, powerful, and   relentless. I refer, of course, to the federal government.   --Columnist Dave Barry

A "Unitary Executive" we could love

We want a presidency with so little power we could put Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin in the position without losing any sleep over it. --L. Reichard White, December 10, 2011, 23:35:48
